Under the Supervision of Angela Mains, LPC-S

Hello, my name is Breeanna Fout, and I am an Associate Licensed Counselor working in Birmingham, Alabama. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where people can reconnect with themselves, strengthen relationships, and build resilience during life’s challenges. I believe emotional health is shaped by the whole person—mind, body, relationships, and environment. My approach is holistic, collaborative, and integrative, honoring each client’s unique story while using evidence-based practices to support meaningful and lasting change. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you or your family; it’s about understanding patterns, making sense of emotions, and creating healthier ways of coping and connecting.

My therapeutic lens is shaped by narrative therapy, DBT, and emotion-focused therapy (EFT), blending structure with creativity, insight, and flexibility. Whether we are building coping skills, reshaping unhelpful narratives, or exploring emotional patterns, my goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and move forward with clarity, confidence, and resilience.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Education in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I have completed the Gottman Level 1 Couples Therapy training for premarital and couples counseling.  I am currently under the supervision of Angela Mains, LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC.

When I’m not in session, you can probably find me at home with my husband and son, trying a new recipe or keeping my garden alive. I enjoy listening to music and spending time with family, friends, and my many animals.
